BEFORE YOU START

How do I preview a new floor in my photo?

Upload a room photo and describe the flooring finish you want to preview. Virtual Staging AI Studio’s floor visualizer uses one room photograph and your material direction to create a visual concept. Compare the result with the original before downloading. It does not measure the room, calculate quantities or guarantee a match to a product sample.

Light oak floor edit in our AI-created furnished dining room
Our own AI-created room, edited with this tool’s model and instructions. An illustrative preview, not a customer property.

MATERIAL, IN PERSPECTIVE

See the finish across the room.

A floor visualizer helps you compare a material idea in the room you actually have. Start with a photograph that shows enough exposed flooring to see the direction and scale of the pattern.

Name the material, tone and pattern you have in mind. “Light oak planks with subtle grain” gives more direction than “a nicer floor.” For a color-only edit, ask to preserve the existing material and pattern.

KEEP THE ORIGINAL CLOSE

Compare the edges. Check the details.

After the floor visualizer finishes, check the room’s perspective, door thresholds and areas around furniture legs. Patterns can bend or change scale, and objects can lose realistic contact with the floor.

An approximate design preview, not a flooring SKU match or installation plan. Check perspective, edges and furniture before using the result. For a property listing, label the altered view as your platform requires and retain the factual original.

DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Inspect where surfaces meet.

Open a useful-sized view and compare the same region in your original. Boundaries around trim, furniture legs and thresholds often reveal an unwanted change that a small thumbnail hides. Check the complete image as well as this detail.

01

Upload a clear photograph.

Use a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB and 32 megapixels. Image preparation runs in your browser before upload.

02

Describe one focused change.

Choose a preset and edit its direction. The floor visualizer works on one room photo at a time.

03

Review, then download.

Compare with the original using the divider. Download the PNG when the edit is useful; saving it again uses no extra credit.

Uploads and results are private to your signed-in account or the browser used for your guest trial; they are not added to a public gallery. Use photos you have permission to edit. Your daily free credit is used first. View image plans and packs.

Floor visualizer: questions before you start.

Can I choose plank direction, tile size or a diagonal pattern?

Describe the direction and general pattern in your prompt, such as long oak planks running toward the window. The model does not know the room’s real measurements, so plank width, tile size and grout spacing are approximate. Repeated patterns may bend, change scale or disappear under furniture. Inspect door thresholds, the far edge of the room and the spaces between chair legs. The preview is useful for comparing an overall finish, but it cannot determine product quantities, layout cuts or whether the existing subfloor is suitable.

What can I preview with this floor visualizer?

Explore a different floor color or a general material look, such as light oak planks, dark wood or beige tile. Upload your own photograph and describe the finish. The result is an AI-edited design concept you can compare and download.

Can I upload a flooring product or select an exact SKU?

This version takes one room photograph and a text direction. It does not accept a second product reference or connect to a flooring catalog. Wood grain, plank size, grout and color are approximate; compare real samples before making a purchase.

Does the floor visualizer calculate quantities or installation costs?

No. It produces a visual image, not a measured plan, material order or installation quote. Measure the room and consult your installer separately. The AI cannot verify subfloor conditions or whether a particular material is suitable.

Will the furniture and room layout be preserved?

The floor-edit instruction asks to preserve furniture, walls, fixtures, camera view and proportions. Check contact shadows, chair legs, door thresholds and floor edges against your original. AI can still change details or distort patterns.

What kind of photograph should I upload?

Use a sharp, ordinary camera photo showing the surfaces you want to edit. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported up to 10 MB and 32 megapixels; the browser prepares a smaller working image before sending it. Strong motion blur, extreme wide-angle distortion and partly hidden areas make the result harder to judge. A higher pixel count alone does not guarantee a more accurate edit.

Are my uploads used as public examples?

Uploads and results are private to your signed-in account or the browser used for your guest trial; they are not added to a public gallery. The images on this page are separate illustrative examples. An accepted task is processed by our configured AI provider and saved for private readback and download. Use photos you have permission to edit and avoid including personal documents or other sensitive information. See the privacy policy for processing details.

Is there a free image, and is it watermarked?

Try one image as a guest after verification. The guest trial is limited to one image per browser. A maximum of one new guest per IP or network can start a trial each UTC day. Sign in with Google to claim one image per UTC day across the room-editing tools; it expires at 00:00 UTC and does not roll over. There is no additional signup bonus. Free and paid downloads have no watermark.

What happens if I leave the page or the edit fails?

Accepted requests continue in the background. Return in the same browser with its site data intact, or use the same signed-in account, to recover the latest task within six hours. The applicable credits are reserved; a delivered image uses them and a confirmed failure returns them. Do not resubmit a request just because the connection drops.
